Steele Creek Outreach is a non profit Incorporation located in Charlotte, NC. Steele Creek Outreach was Founded in June of 2009, and gained non profit status in January of 2010. Our organization provides aid to the uptown homeless population. We also have a partnership with the River Hills Community Church called Operation Mayday.
SCO is a unique non-profit because we are an all volunteer organization. We pride ourselves in not spending donation money on salaries and business expenses. 100% of your financial donation goes to helping someone in need. Most other non-profit organization's allocate only 15% of your financial donation towards the cause they are supporting. How do we support the Homeless?

SCO has a weekly uptown meal service called: Operation Serve the Homeless. Operation Serve the Homeless is a joint partnership between The Mecklenburg County Department of Homeless Support Services, The New Charlotte Church, The Lifepointe Church, The Trinity Baptist Church, The Riverview Presbyterian Church, and Steele Creek Outreach, Inc. The goal of this operation is to provide a meal and social interaction to our uptown homeless population. SCO also provides these individuals with clothing and other vital supplies. The program began in May of 2011, and is held at the Homeless Resource Center every Thursday evening, from 6 to 8pm. On average, we feed around 60 homeless individuals per week. We are always in need of volunteers to prep the food, in addition to food donations. Steele Creek Outreach also has a partnership with the River Hills Community Church in Lake Wylie, SC. Operation Mayday assists Lake Wylie and Steele Creek families in need by providing them with food, clothing, and financial assistance.
