Shout it Charlotte-Nichole's journey as a non profit owner, Charlotte Public Policy writer, and an advocate for the Homeless...
Greetings Members and Supporters,
I wanted to share with you my decision to accept a Freelancing position with the Charlotte Examiner. I have been compiling data and doing research for years about the effects of homelessness and plans out of homelessness. My research points to the realization that if we are ever to combat homelessness, we are going to have to begin with a radical approach. The time has come to treat the root of the problem instead of only treating the symptoms. I understand that this is a senstive issue and I personally wanted to ensure you that I am not speaking on behalf of Steele Creek Outreach. My viewpoints and articles are from my perspective, and I will take full responsibility for any issues or repercussions that may arise from voicing my opinion. I would never jeopardize Steele Creek Outreach or our members, volunteers, partners, supporters, or interests. Make no mistake about it, some of my viewpoints are extremely unpopular. This is because we as a society oppress the homeless-since they do not actively bring something to the table. I am facing an uphill battle, but I am in it to win it! Through my interactions and experience with the homeless, I have developed a passion for helping them and ensuring that we integrate them back into society. It is time for me to step outside of my comfort zone and speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves.

All my best,
Nichole Jaworski
